Trine Poulsgaard Kristensen, Gry Futtrup Rasmussen, Signe Baden, Anne Louise Bahn & I developed this Interaction exhibition "Sensing the North" for "Connecting cultures" festival in cooperation with the Danish Institute in Syria, Scandinavian Embassies a.o. at Ras Al-Ain Art Gallery in Amman, Jordan - 2012. “Connecting Cultures” was a Scandinavian - Jordanian cultural festival made for families and had visitors from Jordan, Syrian refugees, Scandinavians and many more. The exhibition “Sensing the North” was established to “Connect Cultures” and show our many common values in Scandinavian and middle Eastern societies.
In the Interaction exhibition you could visit three different rooms and take a bike ride through Copenhagen or sit in a livingroom surrounded by family pictures and traditions. You could also go into a room and sense the changing seasons in the cold northern nature and climate during a year.
Take a bike ride through Copenhagen and see the parks, Nyhavn and the people passing by in the City.
Sit down in the livingroom surrounded by family pictures and traditions like Fastelavn and marriage, eat a cookie and drink a cup of coffee.
